Stadtspaziergang: Ich bin, wer ich bin!
In the organizer's words:
City Walk: I Am Who I Am!
Life stories from the Nordstadt during the Nazi era, caught between external control and self-assertion.
Together, we’ll explore the life stories of three very different people from Nordstadt. Siegfried was not supposed to be part of the Nazi “people’s community”; Karl, a pacifist, was forced to manufacture weapons; and Friedel’s identity put his life in danger.
The city walk with Dr. Edel Sheridan-Quantz from the ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage begins on Kopernikusstraße and ends at the Bürgerschule community center on Schaufelder Straße. The route is 1.8 km long, and the walk takes two hours.
Meeting point: Kopernikusstraße, at the corner of Engelbostelerdamm
Please register by September 4, 2026, at: FZH-Vahrenwald@Hannover-Stadt.de
