Every year in July/August, it's "Curtain up!" in a setting that is itself ready for the movies. The Kinofest 2026, which has been held in the Landscape Park since 1996, lasts 45 nights.

Viewers can expect an irresistible mix of current hits, classics and cult films, and when the illumination of the world-famous light magician Jonathan Park bathes the night-time backdrop of the smelting works in a bizarre sea of color at the end of each screening, the border to magic is no longer far away. As the eponymous sponsor, Stadtwerke Duisburg, together with the other main sponsors König Pilsener and Duisburger Wohnungsgenossenschaften, make this major event possible in the first place.
