Stand-up Comedy Workshop - Bremen

The Downstairs Comedy Club’s workshop for stand-up comedy newcomers is coming to Bremen. In this three-day workshop, you’ll learn the basics of stand-up comedy and perform in our final show. This workshop is for you if you’re still unsure how to come up with material that works for you, or if you simply want to give stand-up comedy a try and don’t have any experience yet. We know that men in particular are drawn to comedy, so if you’re a woman thinking about signing up, we’d love for you to do just that. Our goal is to get more women excited about the comedy scene and thereby contribute to the industry’s diversity. Comedykeller Bremen wants to support the growth of the comedy scene and is providing the ideal venue for both the classes and the final show. DATES The workshop spans three days: * Friday, December 4, 2026 – 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. * Saturday, December 5, 2026 – 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. * Sunday, December 6, 2026 – 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. WHAT TO EXPECT * Insight into the comedy scene across Germany * Basic techniques of stage performance * Introduction to joke writing: Through hands-on exercises, you’ll develop your first original bits and your first set * Personalized feedback on your ideas and material * A live performance of about 5 minutes during the final show * A group of motivated people who are just as excited about stand-up as you are COACH Jana Jansen, who leads the workshop, has been active in the comedy scene since 2020. She is the producer of the successful “Wertstoff Comedy” open mic series, which actively advocates for greater equality. She is a regular at the Downstairs Comedy Club and performs nationwide for Comedyflash. She has opened for Fabi Rommel and Maria Clara Groppler and has a heartwarming personality.
