Static-X for four shows in Germany this summer

With their combination of metal and electronic elements, Static-X have been supplying the heavy metal scene with crunching guitar riffs and pulsating industrial beats for over 30 years - a promising mix, as will soon become apparent, which makes the band one of the most pioneering groups in their genre to this day. And that despite a turbulent biography! The two founding members Wayne Static (frontman) and Ken Jay (drums) met in the early 90s and, after a brief phase in another project, finally formed the band Static-X in California in 1994 together with bassist Tony Campos and guitarist/programmer Koichi Fukuda. Their debut album "Wisconsin Death Trip" is regarded as a ground-breaking album and, with hits such as "Push It" and "I'm With Stupid", it made for a flying start in the metal scene. In the years that followed, Static-X released five more records and brought their self-proclaimed rhythmic trancecore to the world's major stages. In 2012, the band took a creative break, which was followed two years later by the tragic death of frontman Wayne Static - the fate of Static-X seemed uncertain, if not sealed, for many fans. But then 2018 saw the 20th anniversary of "Wisconsin Death Trip", prompting the founding members to reunite - with new frontman Xer0. With renewed energy, Static-X once again delivered performances that won over fans and critics alike, harmoniously reconciling past and future. This was also the approach for "Project Generation", the reunion album from 2020, to which a second part was even added two years ago. The perfect catalog of old and new tracks to bring the characteristic Evil Disco sound on tour once again - and that's exactly what Static-X are doing this year. The US-Americans are coming to Germany for four dates in June and have Tag My Heart with them as support.
