StattFinden. PerformanceKonzert zur Ausstellung: ONLY LOVERS LEFT. Margarete Jakschik und Friedrich Kunath

In the organizer's words:

Today's society is not only determined by internal, but increasingly also by external constraints. In such a society, events are no longer phenomena that arise spontaneously from the interaction of things with the outside world. External pressure reduces events to their polarizing aspects. In particular, the context-dependent variability of a concept loses its open space today. Walter Benjamin therefore calls on us to read what is not written in animal memories, in the stars, in gestures. Is it not the language of art that brings the mysterious and at the same time the open back into the realm of life?

The performance concert StattFinden is designed as a journey into this world, to feel its way into the border area of the most intimate exteriority.

The program of the performance concert "StattFinden" includes works and texts by Giorgio Agamben, Walter Benjamin, George Brecht, Christian Jendreiko, Yoko Ono, Tomas Schmit, Oliver Schneller, Kunsu Shim, Gerhard Stäbler and Ben Vautier, in which outwardness and concealment interact musically and performatively.
