Many people hope that horoscopes or esoteric practices such as tarot card reading will provide them with information and guidance for the future. But how do we come to believe that the starry sky or randomly drawn cards can influence our lives? We dive into the business of interpreting the future together and critically discuss its past and present. Does the longed-for glimpse into the future reflect fears of the future in the here and now? And: don't horoscopes reflect a belief in a determined world rather than an open future?
