Steve McCurry, born in 1950, is one of the world's best-known photographers and has been a member of the renowned Magnum agency since 1986. On his numerous travels, many of them for National Geographic, Steve McCurry has created touching and unforgettable photographs, including the famous image of the "Afghan girl" Sharbat Gula. McCurry has received numerous awards for his work, including the Robert Capa Gold Medal, the National Press Photographers Award, and the Royal Photographic's Centenary Medal, as well as multiple National Press Photographers Awards. His photographs regularly grace the covers of prestigious magazines. McCurry exhibits his work worldwide and has published numerous photography books, including "India" (2015) and "Reading" (2016), both published by Prestel.
Pico Iyer is the author of several books on globalization and has written novels and literary essays. Prestigious magazines in the U.S. have published his articles, including "Time," "New Yorker," "Los Angeles Times," and "Financial Times." He has been a friend of the Dalai Lama for over 30 years. Pico Iyer has Indian roots and currently lives in Japan.
