In the organizer's words:

It's been two years since the first Storch Session. The last Storch Session in the traditional sense took place on April 11th this year with the fabulous Faira and the wonderful Marek Johnson. I couldn't have imagined a better farewell. Now we want to offer the Storch Session concept a bigger stage. That's why we're moving the sessions to the magnificent Turistarama, one of the most beautiful and most overlooked locations in Cologne.

The principle is very simple and continues as before. You come along, pay an entrance fee worth a reasonable donation like back then at the Storch and we have a great time together.

The first line-up already has it all. I would like to introduce you to the following acts:

JEWLS:

In a world where the sunset often serves as a kitschy backdrop for a supposed happy ending, JEWLS plunge into the abysses of our society and the self-delusions and illusions that people are all too willing to succumb to on their debut album There Is No Sunset. The idyll of a Caribbean beach at dusk, an expression of hope - all this is deceptive. In truth, it is a cosmic illusion, while the earth turns away from the sun, unimpressed. There Is No Sunset confronts us with the urgent reality of sustainability. It explores the selfishness and narcissism that runs rampant on an individual level and the highly complex, often hurt feelings that drive us. In the mystical, playful world of JEWLS, sometimes melancholic, sometimes dark soundscapes meet guitars and breakbeats. The album wanders between experimental art-pop elements and atmospheric electro-pop and is reminiscent of bands like Etna and artists like FKA twigs. The artist plays with pop spheres and patterns. Sometimes it's broken sounds that search for answers, sometimes we lose them in dreamy guitar riffs. Then again, her voice oscillates between fragility and darkness, as if she is wandering through the green forests of an alien world. A hint of rave mingles with her melodies.

The songwriter, singer and producer first discovered her love for dark soundscapes, deep bass and different vocals in 2016, resulting in a number of deep electronica and techno features. Since then, she has continuously refined her sound towards experimental pop spheres. With her debut album There Is No Sunset, JEWLS finds her way to her own musical language. Her album questions social norms and ideas of "right" and "wrong". In doing so, she does not forget her own role within this system and questions her own standards, which are characterized by double standards. JEWLS works with synthetic, cinematic soundscapes that are pulled back into reality by a hoarse, sensitive and moody low voice. The artist combines striking melodies with stylistic disruptions and instrumental experimentation.

EESE:

Cologne-based indie act EESE is a duo consisting of longtime friends Luca and Max. With their unique and experimental musical style, which cleverly interweaves elements of indie, alternative and electro, they bring a breath of fresh air to the German indie scene. In 2020, the band found their creative home on the label Papercup Records and released their much-anticipated debut album "This All Will Fade" in December 2022, which was also conceived as a joint farewell project from third member Pablo.
As modern artists, they not only master the stage, but also excel in the self-made production and mixing process, giving their music a remarkable depth and authenticity. This is also evident in their latest single releases as a duo ("Move on", "Along the way", "Solely"), in which they further cement their unique style.
More exciting releases are set to follow in summer/fall 2024. EESE continue to push their creative boundaries and cement their position as one of the most exciting indie acts in GSA.
