In the organizer's words:
The city tours on Friday, July 17, 4.30 pm, and Friday, September 11, 5.30 pm, in the Calenberger Neustadt look at Hanover's time as a residential city up to the present day.
The Calenberg New Town was the first expansion of the city since the Middle Ages - built because the princely court simply needed more space. Between magnificent buildings, exciting stories and surprising encounters, we explore a district that was once its own city with its own government.
Find out why the "Street of Tolerance" runs here, what a brilliant inventor and a cruel murderer are all about and how all this has shaped our Hanover. Join us on a journey through time and history - including aha moments!
