On Tuesday, July 15, Aliceplatz will be transformed into a large stage from 4 p.m. when the "Music on Wheels" project makes a guest appearance in Offenbach with the popular "street opera". On the program this time is an abridged version of Wolfgang Amadeus' opera "Così fan tutte" - a partly cheerful, partly dramatic game of mistaken identity in which two young women are tested for their fidelity with surprising consequences. The opera delights with its sparkling wit and profound emotions. Accompanied by Mozart's immortal music, a humorous yet touching story about the game of love unfolds.
The ensemble consists of selected vocal soloists and a brilliant string quartet. Music director Johannes Erkes leads the performance in a witty and entertaining manner. Both opera novices and opera fans of all ages will learn interesting facts about the work, the characters and the composer. Anyone who has the time and inclination can listen.
The performance lasts approx. 1.5 hours and is free of charge and barrier-free.
