STRAHLEMANN ✩ CUPSHOT

In the organizer's words:

Relatively idealistic, quite socially critical, mainly self-centered. STRAHLEMANN clothe the diffuse emotional contradictions of an entire young life in a cozy, sad-optimistic sound that is not too bad for the odd pop allure - and sing about feelings without douching.

After an eventful year full of concerts, upheavals and long train journeys across Germany, the quartet will release their second EP "Tut gar nicht so weh mehr" on May 3, 2024 with release shows in Cologne, Münster and Tübingen.

The new songs mark a further development of the band's sound aesthetics: less noise, more vibe. They are a last, deep breath before the jump into uncertainty, the final look over the shoulder between door and hinge into an old life full of doubts and plans, between tense expectation and the fear that it will never be the same again. It's about first love, the first deep cut, old home, new city, loneliness, togetherness, heartache - always in search of carefreeness in music.

Cupshot

Watch out for catchy tunes! Socially critical lyrics, distorted guitars and catchy vocal melodies make up the sound of these three. Sometimes harder, sometimes softer, with influences from grunge, garage and indie rock, Cupshot invite you to be angry together and rebel against outdated social constructs and injustices. In June 2023, the Cologne/Bonn band released their first EP "Enough!" and present their songs on stage with passion and riot grrrl spirit.
