The group exhibition in the Bilker Bunker is intended to unite different positions of street photography from Düsseldorf and NRW.
Street photography documents the traces of human activity in public space and functions as an important contemporary document. The exhibition reflects the paradoxical conditions under which this photography is created today.

In an age that is virtually flooded with ephemeral images, the conscious photographic documentation of public life is becoming increasingly relevant. People in public spaces are becoming more skeptical of photography, while at the same time images in social media are omnipresent. Street photography creates a visual archive of urban realities in this field of tension.
