Stuttgart am Meer
In the organizer's words:
Stuttgart by the Sea 2026. Your Summer. Your Bay.
Every year, the Stuttgart by the Sea summer festival invites the people of Stuttgart to rediscover the urban space of our city center. Stuttgart as a city on the Mediterranean, whose vast rocky bay invites you to linger—what would that feel like? What would it sound like? How would we experience the city?
From August 1 to September 13, 2026, we’ll explore this question—with the help of the largest water installation in the festival’s history. The grand staircase and the forecourt of the StadtPalais will be transformed into a Mediterranean bay, surrounded by rocks and accessible only via the grand staircase.
It’s an invitation to swim, soak up the sun, splash around, and relax “by the sea”—a water basin nearly 38 meters long.
As every year, there will be a diverse program featuring a summer market, workshops, and cultural events. A place for connection and sensory experiences—and an experience that offers a refreshing perspective on urban space.
Free admission. No registration required.
You’ll soon find the full program and more information here on the festival page.
Supported by Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB), and the Wüstenrot Foundation.
