When the vineyards in Stuttgart practically reach your front door, it comes as no surprise that the city has its own wine festival, and what a festival it is. From August 20 to September 5, 2026, the market square, Schillerplatz and Kirchstraße will once again be transformed into a sparkling labyrinth of arcades, fairy lights and clinking glasses: Stuttgart's wine village is back.

This is where tradition meets celebration. Over 500 wines from Baden-Württemberg are waiting to be tasted, compared and fallen in love with, from honest Trollinger to elegant Pinot Noir. Around 30 hosts are at the start: wineries, restaurants, wine bars and some of the region's most creative young winemakers. They not only serve their favorite wines, but also bring the best of Swabian cuisine to the plates: Kässpätzle, Maultaschen, Schupfnudeln with sauerkraut and other regional hearty dishes.

The atmosphere? Warm, lively, informal: like a late summer evening that just doesn't want to end. Whether you take a relaxed stroll through the arcades with friends, curiously taste your way through the young wine scene or simply hold a good Riesling in your hand and watch the hustle and bustle: this festival is pure Stuttgart lifestyle.
