marlenarium [Munich]
marlenarium is a mixture of bitter-sweet harmonies, heavy synth bass and feather-light melodies. It is the project of songwriter and producer Marlene Heger from Munich. Through lyrics and sound design, Marlene expresses the contrasts of life in today's world, where there is a constant abundance of information and where ignorance is fatal. The result is a dreamlike yet conscious, danceable yet experimental and unpredictable wall of shimmering sound. The fact that Marlene herself is a fan of a wide variety of musical genres is reflected in her unique, cross-genre production style. Her biggest influences include artists such as "The 1975", "Wolf Alice", Charli XCX, "Brockhampton", "Grimes" and "Yeule"

... the sound of mystic smell. Four people, many instruments, two voices. With guitar, cajon/percussion, double bass, mandolin, button accordion, banjo, mouth organ and two voices, the four musicians from the west of Munich tell stories in English, Romanian, Spanish and German about everyday life, dreams and adventures - sometimes sad, sometimes critical, poetic but also funny. Our wonderful host Suntone leads you through the evening: an acoustic guitar and a loop station take you into a mystical - melancholic - psychedelic world. Hypnotic grooves meet beautiful melodies, purely acoustic music is combined with electronica, always interesting and challenging - and often danceable!
Ambient, drum bass, prog, world music, singer-songwriter fragments, funk, classical elements blend into a unity.
