For his August soirée, DJ Linus once again delves deep into the archives of his Musicversity, where—as an instructor—he equips aspiring talents with the tools of the trade for DJing, thereby paving the way through the nocturnal “DJ jungle.” He has chosen three of his eager-to-learn groove apprentices—namely JJJOe, DJ Lanyd, and DJ Krisu—to take on their first club DJ set on the last Friday in August. Funnily enough, this is a somewhat more mature trio. All of them have many years of club nights under their belts, but have only now found the time and leisure to devote themselves to DJing.

JJJOe gets his dancing guests first curious and then happy with exciting rhythms from the genres of techno, house, progressive, electro, and deep house—often complemented by clear vocals and harmonious melodies. DJ Lanyd also places great importance on bringing emotion and energy to the dance floor. He draws his inspiration from Afro House, Deep House, Melodic House, Tech House, Bass House, and Progressive House. DJ Krisu, on the other hand, feels magically drawn to EDM and techno and has set out to reinforce his life motto—borrowed from Udo Jürgens—“Life begins at 66”—with a DJ set that makes you want to fly. As the night wears on, DJ Linus’s hands will, of course, be flying over his equipment. Last but not least, the Sujet label boss will feed his fresh summer discoveries from the global house scene into the Vibeline.
