Over the past decade, Sullivan Fortner has unleashed his deep-rooted talents as a pianist, composer, bandleader and uncompromising individualist. The GRAMMY Award-winning New Orleans artist has received international praise as a pianist/keyboardist and producer for his collaborative work on The Window (Mack Avenue, 2018) with multiple GRAMMY-winning vocalist and composer Cecile McLorin Salvant. As a solo artist, he has released Moments Preserved (Decca, 2018) and Aria (Impulse!, 2015) to critical acclaim, and he is just getting started. Based in New York, Fortner has been recognized in several categories of the DownBeat Critics Poll, winning first place in the Rising Star Piano and Rising Star Jazz Artist categories.
