SUNNY DANCER isa modern coming-of-age story about friendship, love, and overcoming adversity—and about what life has to offer when we let go of our fears and open ourselves up to others.
Parties, friends, and boundless freedom—the summer vacation of a typical teenager. But not for the reclusive Ivy (Bella Ramsey), who prefers to keep to herself after surviving cancer. For this reason, her overprotective parents sign the 17-year-old up for a four-week stay at the Children Run Free Camp for teenagers with cancer. Convinced that the worst time of her life is about to begin, Ivy moves into her quarters at “Chemo Camp” and unexpectedly finds kindred spirits in a group of outsiders who quickly become her friends. Together, they celebrate life and a summer they’ll never forget.
