SUPER TRUMP

Lou, Roberta and Jonas are really good friends. They spend a lot of time together at school, especially during breaks. They know exactly what's going on in Lou's life. Their favorite game is "Super Trump". Lou's real name is Marie-Louise, but she doesn't like that any more than being called "Squirt." Lou used to enjoy spending time with her sister Maya, but she has now been in the hospital for a long time. What does Maya's return mean for the family?

After her discharge, everyone will have to regroup. Maya is not yet allowed to play sports, and eating together is proving difficult. The situation at the table is tense. There is nitpicking in all corners. They have not yet found a daily routine, many rules are new and incomprehensible to Lou. The parents also don't quite know how to behave and there are questions in the room. Maya has an eating disorder and has been successfully treated, yet the search for answers is still on. The sisters are getting closer again, not least because of a blue T-shirt with red stripes.

With little pathos, but concise dialogues, clear images and humor, the story is told from the perspective of a child about everyday life with an anorexic family member. Supertrumpf was awarded the scholarship of the German Children's Theater Prize in 2012. After being nominated for the 2013 Heidelberg Stückemarkt, Esther Becker's play received the Kathrin Türks Prize in 2014.
