Built around 1890 by inventor and entrepreneur Julius Wilhelm von Pittler and constantly expanded, the complex is a monument to Saxon industrial culture. As a distributor and manufacturer of turret lathes, around 7,000 people worked here in shifts during its heyday. The property has been vacant since 1996. Under the ownership of Montis Real Estate GmbH, the Pittlerwerke have been developing into a place where art, craftsmanship, production, knowledge and talent come together since 2017.
On the Open Monument Day on September 8, 2024, 6 guided tours (duration almost 1.5 hours) will be offered through the halls and rooms of the former machine tool factory.
You can only take part in the tour with a valid ticket, the number of visitors is limited!
