"Touch" is a participatory exhibition that deals with unconscious perception, perceptual processes and the blind spots of our attention. It focuses on the question of how we perceive reality - and how new perspectives can be opened up if we sharpen our senses in unusual ways. The exhibition is conceived as an open, constantly changing format that will evolve over the entire period. Visitors are invited not only to view, but also to actively participate in shaping it: In two workshops with BLINC, participants' senses and communication skills will be challenged. How do we give clear instructions? How do we describe things precisely when visual cues are missing? You will also gain insights and facts about blindness and visual impairment, as the workshop leaders Samu and Marit are themselves severely visually impaired and will be happy to answer any questions you may have on the subject of visual impairment and to engage in a joint discussion while creating haptic works with clay and modeling clay. During the exhibition, audio tours of the exhibits by artist Andrea Wolf (kaethe:k Kunsthaus) will be offered alongside exhibits by pupils from the Martin-Bartels-Schule, and in workshops accompanied by the artist herself, a new work of art will be created through haptic work with materials and surfaces, which will gradually expand and change the exhibition. In this way, the exhibition space becomes a living, collaborative work - a growing installation that thrives on encounters and the change of perspective that takes place in the workshops.
