Artist Hyunjin Kim in conversation with curator Riikka Thitz 🎨

The exhibition Künstlerinnen. From Monjé to Münter looks at 31 female artists who worked in Düsseldorf between 1819 and 1919 - a time when they were barred from studying at the art academy.
But how are women artists doing today? How do they work, what strategies do they pursue in order to be seen, what obstacles still exist? And how is the other side, the curators, faring?

In our discussion round Crossing Borders, artist Hyunjin Kim and curator Riikka Thitz talk about their practice, their work and which borders they have crossed - and which they still want to cross.

The talk takes place in cooperation with the Finnish Institute, Berlin.
