For decades, Manni Breuckmann was one of the most distinctive voices in German soccer. But this evening is about much more than goals, standings, and coaching changes.

Under the title “Spieltach – Talk in der Bude,” Breuckmann discusses the topics that move him today: politics, society, the economy, culture, and the stories—both big and small—of everyday life. With a keen eye, plenty of humor, and his characteristic directness, he takes a look at North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond—always outspoken, entertaining, and in touch with the people.

Of course, soccer will make an occasional appearance. After all, the game is what made him famous. But the focus is on the observations and thoughts of an author and journalist whose horizons have long since expanded beyond the soccer field.
