TAMAR VALKENIER - Die Vollzeit-Abenteurerin

Tamar has led a seemingly perfect life: she has made it as a chef in Michelin-starred restaurants, successfully studied psychology and criminology and worked for the Dutch National Police. But after an accident, she starts to wonder: was that really all there was to it? The decision is quickly made: She wants to get out. First she would travel around the world for two years on a self-built bicycle, first through Europe, then to ever more distant regions. But she doesn't stop there. She swaps her bike for a horse, camel and dog and travels through Mongolia for several months. She crosses the high mountain ranges of New Zealand and lives as a hunter-gatherer before trekking 600 kilometers through Jordan.

Tamar talks about what it is like to be a woman traveling alone in the world. Being hungry, having no work and no fixed abode. An impressive account of a wanderer who longed for a freer life and had the courage to pursue this desire completely, and who outgrew herself again and again.

• Unless otherwise stated, the presentations will take place in the basement. In this unique ambience there is only room for a limited number of guests, which is why we strongly recommend using advance booking.
• Please note that admission is only possible via our main entrance (corner of Isartorplatz) until 20:10.
• The event area is barrier-free.
• We are happy to consider wheelchair spaces when allocating seats - please register in advance via shop-muenchen@globetrotter.de.
• There are toilets and disabled toilets on the event area floor.
• (Companion) dogs are welcome during the event, but must be registered.
• For a donation of € 2,- we provide various drinks for sale. The proceeds will go towards our annual sleeping bag fundraiser. Only limited change is available.
