Tango Unlimited - Tangogeschichten

Tango is more than just music. Tango is a way of life. It exudes longing, tells of passion, desire, and melancholy, and plays with devotion, eroticism, and an exuberant zest for life.

It is precisely this fire that the ensemble TANGO UNLIMITED brings to the stage. The six-piece ensemble—featuring violin, saxophone, accordion, piano, double bass, and drums—transports its audience into the world of the great tango stories: at times tender and wistful, at times wild and rhythmic, always full of intensity.

The program spans a wide range, from the great classics of Argentine tango to the exciting Tango Nuevo, and even includes surprising forays into jazz and film music. The result is a series of musical episodes about searching and finding, about love and life—rich in nuance and emotion. A special highlight is the dance duo Martina Beilharz & Daniel Canuti, who bring the tango to life on stage to selected pieces: sensual, energetic, and full of elegance.
