Saturday, July 13, 2024 Freilichtbühne Wattenscheid Start: 7.30 pm umsonst & draußen Odyssee: Musik der Metropolen 2024 Tanzorchester Paschulke The first season of this year's festival gets off to a furious and energetic start with Balkan rhythms "made in the Ruhr". True to the Ruhr area motto "what doesn't fit is made to fit", the twelve-piece Paschulke dance orchestra will be presenting an explosive mix of styles from July 10. While the brass section delivers peppery Balkan ska rhythms, traditional melodies mutate together with well-known pop songs into an extremely danceable melange with a great fun factor.

With Westphalian brashness, the Ruhrpott-Balkan lovingly pokes fun at the mining cult of the Ruhr region! Urban sounds for all the senses, as always open air and free of charge! The Global Music Truck has been touring the Ruhr area every year for more than a quarter of a century. The team of organizers from Ringlokschuppen Ruhr in Mülheim, Bahnhof Langendreer in Bochum, Pelmke in Hagen and Altstadtschmiede Recklinghausen in cooperation with the Institute for Cultural Work in Recklinghausen guarantees an attractive program.

Thanks to the proven media partnership of WDR COSMO, the festival will once again attract fans from all over the region to brilliant stage shows this summer.
