This "one-woman show" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black has long since become a classic. A young woman comes to New York, where her curiosity and longing for success and love soon turn into fear, frustration and sorrow. Finally, she asks herself whether she is constantly looking for love in the wrong places...
Immediately after completing EVITA, Andrew Lloyd Webber turned his attention to another female character and dedicated his own play to her. Originally a television special for the performer Marti Webb, TELL ME ON A SUNDAY was expanded into a full-length play with new songs after the hits "Take That Look Off Your Face" and "Tell Me On a Sunday" stormed the charts. This "one-woman show" has since become a classic.
