Long-form post-rock from Hanover

Tento is the result of a creative fusion of two bands from Hanover, Greener and Miyuki, which pursued very distinctly contrasting musical styles.

The band was founded by Till Berns (vocals, guitar), José Torrano (drums), and Marco Schwiering (bass), with the latter—thanks to his openness to a wide variety of musical styles—serving as the bridge between the two directions.
Inspired by the desire to make music they themselves would enjoy listening to, Tento began its journey in the pop genre with progressive influences.
With their self-titled debut album *Tento* in 2016, the group—characterized by acoustic guitars—ventured into new sonic territories and continued to evolve with their second album, *FCSTTSBUC* (2017).
After a long period of musical exploration, the band returned to its shared roots in 2021 and found its identity in long-form post-rock.
The first album from this new creative phase, “Something to play?” (2023), consists of just two epic songs that span 45 minutes and represent complex musical works.
The band expanded its lineup to include Christian Kerk (guitar), who was so impressed by the album that he joined the band.
Just one year later, the band released their latest album, “Cosmic Dance,” which is musically more diverse than its predecessor. Two long songs that do full justice to long-form post-rock, complemented by a quieter but more experimental track, as well as two shorter pieces with a clearer focus on melody. Christian’s influence on the music is unmistakable.
Through the combination of their individual musical experiences and a friendship that has now fully blossomed, the members of Tentos have developed a perfect understanding of each other’s playing.
They create unique and timeless sonic experiences for their listeners.
