Hardly any other hip hop and production duo has managed to combine hits and realness like the Beatnuts. The crew from Queens, New York, consists of JuJu and Psycho Les. They originally started out as a trio with Kool Fashion, now known as Al' Tariq. He left the group to start a solo career. Mighty V.I.C. was also a member of the band for a time. The Beatnuts have worked with Fat Joe, Suprême NTM and Da Youngsta's and their song "Watch out Now" can be heard as an instrumental song in Jennifer Lopez's "Jenny from the Block". But that's not all: The Beatnuts have mixed songs for MC Lyte, Da Lench, Mob, Naughty by Nature, Iomanda and other artists. Their latest albums are characterized by increased Latin influences.
