Cop Bannion investigates the suicide of a police colleague. Shortly afterwards, a witness who questions the health motives is murdered. Bannion suspects gangster boss Lagana of the crime and soon suspects a bribery scandal in the police force that reaches right up to the highest levels. When he cannot be stopped, they try a car bomb, but it only kills his wife. After being relieved of his duties, Bannion becomes an avenger who refuses to be stopped.
