The Black Dahlia Murder was formed in 2001 in Waterford, Michigan, and is considered one of the most critically acclaimed and consistent bands in American extreme metal. They have been signed to Metal Blade Records since the release of their debut album, *Unhallowed* (2003). The band has released ten studio albums—eight of which made it onto the U.S. Billboard200 chart, with 2011’s *Ritual* peaking at No. 31—and have built an extremely loyal global fan base through tireless touring and an unwavering commitment to their music.
