Born out of nearly two decades of singalongs and more than half a million miles traveled in a van,The Hooten Hallers’seventh official full-length album, *Van Jams Vol. 1*, was releasedon April 3, 2026. This collection of songs both resonated with and influenced The Hooten Hallers and spans decades of rock, punk, country, soul, R&B, and indie—yet all are delivered with the signature sound fans have come to expect from the band: dueling vocals between John Randall’s powerful, gravelly lows and Andy Rehm’s buttery high tenor, jangly electric guitar, pounding drums, and soaring bass lines on the baritone sax. One might be taken aback by the pairing of Roky Erickson, David Bowie, Morphine, and George Jones, but the band’s wide-ranging musical tastes take the listener on a strangely cohesive journey and demonstrate just how far this trio can push the boundaries of what’s musically possible.
