EU Album Tour
From sold-out tours to chart success: The Howlers are opening a new, dark chapter. The pre-save for the second album "Heavy" is available now - the release will take place in October 2026 via FLG.
Following their return in 2025 with the singles "Nightcrawling" and "You Can Be So Cruel" and the signing to indie label FLG, London indie rockers The Howlers are back with their new single "Viper", which will be released on May 7. At the same time, the band announces their second album "Heavy", which will be released on October 9th, a bold and intense statement with which The Howlers open their most formative chapter to date.
Driven by a pulsating riff, an uncompromising rhythm section and raw, urgent energy, "Viper" shows The Howlers at their most immediate, indie rock'n'roll full of tension, desire and consequence. The song gives a first taste of "Heavy", an album on which frontman Adam Young takes his songwriting in much darker and more impulsive directions.
"Viper describes that feeling of being completely attracted to someone even though you clearly recognize the warning signs, that urge to consciously make bad decisions just for the thrill of what comes next, no matter the consequences," Young explains. "You lose yourself in the moment together. But no matter how much you get caught up in the Bonnie and Clyde fantasy, you always end up getting hurt.
you always end up getting hurt."
After a period of upheaval at the end of 2024, a new chapter began for The Howlers: frontman Adam Young reformed the band as a duo with drummer Toby Richards, a move that fundamentally changed both the sound and the creative direction and gave the band new clarity and identity.
This new start followed a breakthrough year: the self-released debut album "What You've Got To Lose To Win It All" was celebrated across Europe and reached the Top 10 of the UK Independent Breakers Charts as well as several placements in independent, vinyl and physical sales charts. The Howlers received support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Absolute Radio, among others, as well as international playlist placements on Apple Music and Spotify.
This success also continued live: a completely sold-out UK headline tour with 18 dates finally established the band as one of the most exciting live bands in the UK. This was followed by a European tour with sold-out shows in eight countries, during which new material was tested that ultimately laid the foundation for "Heavy".
While the debut album was heavily influenced by themes of grief and personal loss, "Heavy" emerges from a completely different emotional space. The album moves between desire and consequence, loss of control and reality, carried by the pull of the night, impulsive decisions and the sobering clarity afterwards.
For a band who have always made honesty their trademark and built a fiercely loyal fanbase in the process, "Heavy" feels like the album The Howlers have been working towards all along.
With an extensive UK and European headline tour to follow, 2026 could finally be the year the band celebrates their breakthrough on a wider scale.
