Qian Geng is the most exciting thing currently happening in the world of modern Chinese calligraphy. His performances combine the purist core of this cultural technique with archaic and dark myths of Chinese folklore. Culture and myth, performance and installation, writing and sound flow into one another - a radical mixture of impulse and inwardness, perfectly suited to breaking through conventions and involving a globalized, detached audience in powerful, temporary rituals.

Qian Geng, currently Artist in Residence Munich (LH Munich residency program at Villa Waldberta and Ebenböckhaus), performs at Köşk together with Munich noise and video artist Anton Kaun - a duo that has already opened the Tanztage Ingolstadt 2020.
