With their mix of ambient, dark jazz and experimental music, The Necks have been considered one of Australia's most idiosyncratic cult bands for over 20 years. They have already toured with Nick Cave and the Swans. The Necks consist of Chris Abrahams (piano), Tony Buck (drums), and Lloyd Swanton (bass). Tony Buck moved to Berlin in 1998 and has been commuting between Berlin and his native Australia ever since. The busy drummer quickly made a name for himself in the Berlin experimental scene. Countless solo projects with Olaf Rupp and Christian Fennesz, among others, have been created since then.
