Smeared with right-wing extremist slogans and left to decay, the partisan cemetery in divided Mostar symbolizes a bitter struggle for remembrance. Once erected as a national monument in honor of young anti-fascist resistance fighters, it is now considered by many to be an unwanted relic. While the city argues about its significance, families of the deceased struggle to preserve the names of their loved ones - and to oppose the growing right-wing extremism.
