Wow, the Finns are here and the VALKYRIANS are a particularly smart band that has more to offer the genre than just great catchy tunes, imaginative cover versions and a wacky stage show. They are simply one of the best European ska bands around at the moment.

THE VALKYRIANS have made a remarkable rise in recent years. From a nobody in the scene from faraway Finland to the absolute favorites of the local scene. They've got it down, classic ska and early reggae. Fast and slow - always responsible for fun and humor.

After three records and countless concerts in Europe, the band has now released their fifth album "Monsterpiece". Early reggae and uptempo tracks alternate. Great melodies and lyrics with a wink - rarely revolutionary, but always with energy and heart and, in good old tradition, always a bit dirty. The guys from Helsinki are absolutely convincing live.
