You don't know Allee Willis? No wonder, in the history of the music industry, women and LGBTIQ+ people have rarely been famous. This documentary attempts to change that. Old companions and well-known stars talk about the impressive life of Allee Willis. Born in Detroit in the 1950s, the songwriter and producer has written hits for Earth Wind and Fire, the Pointer Sisters, Pet Shop Boys and the catchy theme tune for the TV sitcom "Friends", among others. The film also explores Willis' inner struggles with self-acceptance and how she deals with non-conforming gender and sexual norms. With this queer, inspiring biopic, we travel to the colorful world of 1970/80s Los Angeles.
