THEATERNACHT HAMBURG 2025
Theater is being made again!

This year, Theaternacht Hamburg will once again herald the start of the new season - with a diverse program that will whet your appetite for theater. On September 13, 2025, around 30 Hamburg theaters will open their doors and provide exclusive insights into their productions, ensembles and venues.

With over 200 program items - including scenic previews, backstage tours, talks with artists, hands-on formats and specials for families - Hamburg is once again proving to be one of the most exciting theater cities in Germany.

After purchasing, you will receive your online ticket by email - you can either use it digitally on your smartphone or print it out. Before your first visit to the theater, the ticket must be scanned at one of the participating theaters or at the central info point and exchanged for an admission wristband.

For families and young theater fans: The Theatre Night opens in the afternoon with a varied family program for children aged between 3 and 14. From hands-on theater and puppet shows to interactive workshops - numerous stages invite guests young and old to enjoy special theater experiences. The family ticket costs just 12 euros and is valid for one accompanying adult and up to four children from 3 pm to 7 pm.

Also back: the popular U-30 ticket! For just 14 euros in advance, all visitors under the age of 30 have access to the entire program - including shuttle service and after-show party.

Shuttle & tickets
To get from theater to theater in comfort, free shuttle buses will be available again this year. New in 2025 is the cooperation with Stadtrad Hamburg and Lime: with the theater night ticket, everyone can also use bicycles and e-scooters free of charge on this evening - flexible, environmentally friendly and directly from stage to stage.

Accompanying persons:
Accompanying persons of people with disabilities receive a free ticket for Theaternacht Hamburg. The prerequisite for this is the B mark in the ID card. The companion ticket can be collected from our Infopoint on 13.09. or requested in advance by e-mail. Please send us an email to theaternacht@theater-hamburg.org with proof of eligibility.

Aftershow party:
What would a night at the theater be without an exuberant after-show party? Visitors and theater professionals celebrate the end of the evening together - this year at Schmidtchen on the Reeperbahn. The hall becomes a dance floor when DJ Kai Schwarz, one of Germany's most sought-after scene and event DJs, takes to the turntables. Kai Schwarz has already shared the stage with international artists such as David Guetta, Tiësto and Felix Jaehn. His sets are rousing, danceable and full of energy - perfect conditions for an unforgettable finale to Theaternacht Hamburg.
