Two chairs, a red umbrella, a hat, a broom - and two women who create a whole world with it all. In Die Sache mit den Dingen, everyday objects are transformed into players in an enchantingly playful story about friendship, opposites and the big question: how do you get along when you've had a fight?
With wit, acrobatics and poetic physical theater, the three artists Laura Saumweber (Munich), Paula Pankow (Cologne) and Martha Kröger (Berlin) tell a story that touches children and adults alike. Their movements speak a language that manages without words - and yet says it all. Dance, object play and humor create a performance full of lightness that shows that reconciliation is an art that can be learned - and sometimes even a small red umbrella can help.

The performance is followed by a workshop in which the children can get active themselves. They can dance, improvise and try out what can be told with movement, body and space. This makes Die Sache mit den Dingen not only a theater experience, but also a moment of real encounter - between stage and audience, between artists and children.
The team around Saumweber, Pankow and Kröger has been working together since 2020 to make dance accessible to everyone. Their productions are created at the intersection of dance, choreography, theater education and mediation. Their aim is to understand dance as a universal language that connects people - regardless of age, background or experience.
