Sascha Förster, the director of the Hofgartenhaus Düsseldorf Theater Museum, takes interested visitors on a guided tour of the permanent exhibition 1904 to 1947: Change between awakening & archive. The permanent exhibition presents the fascinating stories of the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus (Dumont-Lindemann), a unique modernist reform project founded in 1904. 42 different objects are presented in a huge display case and tour guests can decide for themselves which objects they want to learn more about.

Each month, the guided tour focuses on different topics relating to theater history. In February, the focus is on scenography - i.e. stage and costume design - at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf. As our Change of Scene exhibition also ends on February 8, this tour will end in Change of Scene .
