Sascha Förster, the director of the TMD, takes interested visitors on a tour of the permanent exhibition 1904 to 1947: Change between awakening & archive. The permanent exhibition presents the fascinating stories of the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf (Dumont-Lindemann), a unique modernist reform project founded in 1904. 42 different objects are presented in a huge display case and tour guests can decide for themselves which objects they want to learn more about.

Each month, the tour focuses on different topics relating to theater history. In January, Sascha Förster devotes himself to the interplay between visual arts and theater at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, where, for example, scenographers were hired directly from the art academies.

Finally, there is a view from the best balcony in Düsseldorf and some information on the history of the Hofgartenhaus.
