In the organizer's words:

How do modern stereotypes influence our image of the past? In our interactive dialog series "Think critically", we take a critical look at role models and stereotypes together with our experts - and how they shape our understanding of Stone Age finds.

In the middle of our exhibition "Stereotypes of Neanderthals", we address questions that are not only of concern to researchers today: What do finds really tell us about the lifestyles of Neanderthals? What influence do our current ideas about family, gender roles and motherhood have on the interpretation of archaeological discoveries? And could our modern views distort our understanding of past cultures?

This discussion format invites you not only to listen, but to actively participate: Join in the discussion and broaden your view of history and the present. The event is ideal for anyone who wants to experience a deeper, critically scrutinizing perspective on the world of the Neanderthals and current social issues.

You will meet our guides in the exhibition on selected Sundays. There are no additional fees apart from the normal entrance fee for the museum.
