Thomas MacMillan

Composer and guitarist Thomas MacMillan, who hails from the remote Pennine region of northern England, has been an integral part of Berlin’s independent music scene since 2018.

In addition to his work with the alternative rock project Carnivalesque and collaborations with art-rock artist Kat Koan, he is deeply committed to composing for the classical nylon-string guitar.

His musical language is shaped by the soundscapes of video game composers Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) and Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), as well as the atmospheric structures of the microgenre fogcore. Blending melancholy, analog horror, and nostalgic soundscapes, his compositions possess an extraordinary cinematic depth—at once soothing and subtly unsettling.

The program includes works from his concept EP “Negative Space,” which explores abandoned places, interstitial spaces, and eerie architecture, as well as pieces from his latest release, “Nervous System.” This EP sheds light on various facets of fear and tension, transforming them into striking instrumental soundscapes.

With extraordinary expressiveness, Thomas MacMillan showcases the enormous sonic range of the nylon-string guitar and takes his audience on an intense, cinematic journey between light and shadow.

Daniel Coletti

Berlin-based musician, composer, and producer Daniel Coletti has been a part of the German dark wave and independent scene for over three decades. As the singer, guitarist, and creative force behind the projects Der Cure Effekt, Alien-Ghost, and Electric Bat Cave, he blends atmospheric guitar work, emotional soundscapes, and an unmistakable stage presence into an intense live experience.

His music spans post-punk, dark wave, gothic rock, ambient, and cinematic soundscapes. Inspired by artists such as The Cure, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Joy Division, and the electronic soundscapes of the 1980s, Daniel Coletti has spent many years developing a unique musical style that blends melancholy, hope, and futuristic visions.

With his project Alien-Ghost, he creates audiovisual performances that blend science fiction, electronic music, and guitar sounds into an atmospheric journey. The Cure Effect reinterprets the music of The Cure with great respect for the original and his own emotional touch. With Electric Bat Cave, he explores the roots of gothic rock and dark wave.

In addition to his work as a musician, Daniel Coletti is a producer, event organizer, and director of the ZeitZone gallery in Berlin-Kreuzberg. There, he curates concerts, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary cultural projects that bring together music, film, and visual art, providing a platform for international artists.

His concerts are characterized by an intense atmosphere, authentic emotions, and a wide stylistic range—from quiet, introspective moments to powerful, high-energy soundscapes. Each performance is an invitation to immerse oneself in another world for an evening.
