Thundercat aka Stephen Bruner is one of the most influential and versatile artists of his generation. The GRAMMY award-winning bassist, singer, songwriter and producer from Los Angeles has established himself as a permanent fixture on the international music scene thanks to his unmistakable style that blends funk, jazz, R&B and pop. From his beginnings as a sought-after sideman for Erykah Badu, Flying Lotus, Kendrick Lamar and Kamasi Washington, among others, Thundercat has now made a name for himself as a solo artist with award-winning album releases, millions of streamed hits and top-class collaborations such as with Gorillaz or Childish Gambino, has toured the world several times and regularly performs on the biggest international festival stages. In October 2025, he returned after a two-year break with his new singles "I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time" and "Children of the Baked Potato" (feat. Remi Wolf), both produced by Greg Kurstin. Both songs are a tribute to the Los Angeles jazz and music scene and herald a new album to be released shortly. In March 2026, Thundercat can be seen in Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt and Hamburg as part of his EU/UK tour!
