Abgesagt - Tiger Lou

In the organizer's words:

Again and again there are artists of whom you wish they would just write an album or play concerts a little more often. Artists who are so deep in our souls with their music that they are simply missing when they take a creative break. Tiger Lou aka Rasmus Kellerman is such a person. But the good news is: seven years after The Wound Dresser he is back. With a new album and a new tour. He himself tells it like this:
In 2017, I found myself at a dead end. The life I had known for over 20 years was over and I had no idea how I was going to be without it. I was newly divorced, had two young children, and was living alone for the first time since childhood. I didn't know what couch to buy, what paint to put on the walls, or how to even go on my first date. These moments or actions - the worst for some, the most revolutionary for others - often involve all sorts of creativity when trying to find a solution. During this time I wrote a wealth of experimental music, non-linear and poignant, concise and direct, not knowing what the hell I was doing or why.
Someone once said, "The reason many people don't become what they want is because they are too attached to what they have been." I guess that's how I felt too - caught between who I thought I was and who I wanted to be. Sentimental and transformative at the same time. Were my weaknesses actually talents or just a few of the many sides of my personality? Could I actually accept myself as I am and move on to the next chapter? The next act. Music became a place of meditation, solace and pleasure, and a way to answer some of these questions. That's why the new album is called Acts. That's why it sounds the way it does.
It's a record about moving on and standing still.
Acts is Tiger Lou's fifth (and sixth) album. It's an honest and beautiful melding of more than 20 years of musical exploits recorded primarily at Kellerman's home, with additional recording at Atlantis Studios by Niklas Lindström and Matching Heads by Rolf Klinth. Both records were mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Guns N Roses, Marilyn Manson and Depeche Mode) at The Grey Room.
We are now extremely excited to see the next act of Tiger Lou live on stage. To be precise, on February 16, 2024 at the beautiful Molotow, when the Swedish singer-songwriter is sure to hit us right in the soul with his music once again.
