TIME OVER "VERLORENE BIODIVERSITÄT IN FELD UND FLUR"

From March 8 to May 26, 2024, the Erfurt Natural History Museum is presenting a special exhibition entitled "Time over". The theme of the exhibition is the presentation of a book of the same name by Bernd Pöppelmann, one of Germany's best-known animal painters.
TIME OVER - this could stand as a warning over many environmental problems. In this case, however, it refers to a dramatic development on our doorstep: the extinction of species in the agricultural landscape. For centuries, this cultivated landscape was one of the most species-rich biotopes in our latitudes.
The aim of the book TIME OVER by Bernd Pöppelmann and the exhibition of the same name is to shed light on this complicated problem from different perspectives and make it accessible to a wider audience. Natural scientists, journalists, wildlife filmmakers, ecologists, farmers, ornithologists and even a theologian have their say and provide an impressive and depressing overall picture of the situation in our fields. A number of well-known nature painters add their artistic view of the situation.
