His new book, "The Journey to the End of History", is a fast-paced, twisty and hilarious adventure novel set in the 1990s by the German-Icelandic writer. In it, a quirky BND agent, Dieter Germeshausen, recruits the young, world-famous poet Jakob Dreiser for the Federal Intelligence Service - at a reception at the Russian embassy in Rome. Germeshausen was also secretly active for the KGB, which posed a real problem for the double agent after the end of the Soviet Union. And to his astonishment, this young poet develops increasing enthusiasm for his new professional activity. Plenty to talk about for the literary chapel!
