TIPPING POINT ODER DIE UNHEIMLICHKEIT DER DINGE - PANAMA PICTURES

A large, semi-circular object that looks like a broken shipwreck dominates the stage. It seems to offer the six performers protection, but as soon as they climb onto it, it tips over and they have to react immediately to avoid falling. Every movement influences the position of the object and therefore the position and movement of the others. The play with balance, the fight against gravity and the changing balance of forces make TIPPING POINT a challenging acrobatic and dance dialog that deals with the dependence of people on each other and on larger uncontrollable elements within a world in decay.

Sometimes spectacular and imposing, sometimes intimate and vulnerable, the piece takes us on a journey through associatively linked images and situations. The experienced performers shine with dance and acrobatics, but do not lose their touch and humanity in the process. The dance is accompanied, driven forward, intensified and overridden by newly composed music. A sound that is sometimes larger than life, but sometimes also emphasizes the emptiness and makes the intimacy of the performers palpable. Panama Pictures create sensual theater that brings dance and circus together. In combination with new spatial concepts and special music, the result is a multi-layered Gesamtkunstwerk.
