On January 29, 2026, the Astra Kulturhaus Berlin will host an extraordinary donation concert under the motto "Toaster for Ticket". The non-profit foundation DOJO Cares, founded by the creative company DOJO, is teaming up with the event format unreleased to launch an innovative appeal for donations, collecting donations in kind for Berlin-wide housing projects to reintegrate homeless people. In addition, financial donations are also needed for the DOJO Cares foundation program, which supports homeless people back into a self-determined life.

Toaster as an entrance ticket

Have you ever used a coffee machine, lamp or razor as a ticket for a concert? You can do just that on January 29 at the Astra Kulturhaus Berlin. Together with the Berlin "Housing First" partner organizations Phinove, SKF, My Way, Schwulenberatung Berlin and LA VIDA, the DOJO Cares Foundation has compiled a list of everything that is urgently needed to furnish apartments for (formerly) homeless people.

The toaster becomes an "admission ticket" for the concert via a specially created web store. But financial resources are also needed. The organizers offer the choice between a regular ticket purchase (25 euros) and a donation in kind or money (over 25 euros). All donations in kind will benefit the Berlin-wide housing projects. The foundation would like to use the money to launch its own housing program in 2026.
